GEL is one of Germany's leading express freight cooperatives. GEL took over a logistic niche some 30 years ago starting with its focus on large, heavy, delicate, and particularly time-critical products in the delivery of commercial customers. GEL used the exactly different strategy, whereas pavement services and general cargo networks dealt with the maximum standardization feasible for their processes: that of the individual, non-automated logistics of items with particular handling challenges.
