Mauritania Post is in charge of postal services in Mauritania. The firm was created in 1999 and is the country's official postal provider. Mauritania's postal service become a permanent member of the Universal Postal Union (1967). On December 29, 1999, the Mauritanian Postal Society was created. The Mauritanian Postal Company handles postal communication between province capitals, money transfers, postal check processing, savings operations, and investment activities. Mauritanian Post - is divided into four operating divisions and three research units. The company's management is based in Nouakchott, Mauritania's capital, in the central post office.
