Parcelforce's previous name was Royal Mail Parcels. It had been only within the year 1990 that it had been rebranded as Parcelforce, with a large IT and infrastructure upgrade. Then, in 1998 it had been rebranded into Parcelforce Worldwide. Today, they utilize the hub and spoke collection and delivery system that have 54 depots across the United Kingdom feeding on three highly automated tracking and sorting centers: The National Centre (which handles 58,500 parcels an hour), The International Centre (35,000 parcels per day both import and export to 240 countries) and the NorthWest Processing Centre (13,800 parcels an hour).
