The single Post Office on St Helena, located on the capital's main street, Jamestown, some 200 yards from the coastline. The Post Office is a department of the St Helena Government, led by the Postmistress, who is assisted by a staff of ten full-time employees and four part-time employees. Our philatelic service is the Post Office's most profitable division. All postal services, Counter service, Delivery service, Mail posting and collection, Postage stamps, Maps, Commemorative coins, Private post boxes, Postal Orders, Statistical publications and cards are all provided by the Post Office for the island.
