What to do with a bad purchase order from Chinese supplier?

When you are dealing with large-scale logistic support you have got to make sure you have read every line of the item description and the deal terms. That being said, we are all living beings who are prone to some errors and mistakes, especially during our work time.

Thus, do not be too overwhelmed when dealing with a terrible purchase or a return of the product you sold. There are several moves you can make that will help you deal with this type of headache.

What can you do with the returns of the items you have already sold?

There can be a million reasons why the customer decided to get a refund for a product. It seemed too large for them, too tiny, the description was insufficient. They are pretty good when it comes to getting their money back. That means you should be as good or even better at adapting to that kind of situation. Let’s find out how to deal with returns first.

Amazon.com offers two options after your product had been returned: you either dispose of it or choose a removal order

The disposal can be chosen if the product that has been returned is opened or even damaged. Amazon will get rid of your product completely yet you will have to pay a small fee for that: 0.15$ for a standard size item and 0.30$ for an oversize one.

Choose removal order if you want to have your product back

This allows you to resell it on some other platform that you might like more. There are still some fees you have to pay though: 0.50$ for a standard size product and 0.60$ for a large one. There is another issue that needs to be addressed which is the case when we are the ones who are not satisfied with the supplies we received.

How can we liquidate the goods that WE are not happy with?

Imagine you purchased a lot of supplies from some fishy Chinese supplier. After a while, you find that you are not satisfied with the product or they are not sold at the pace you expected. In this case, you might want to consider cutting prices. That is going to cost you some benefits. Nonetheless having a thousand items that are being sold extremely slowly is a liability that will eat up even more money. If others cut prices too early you should wait a few months to see if it is necessary.

Change the platform if the one you are using is too slow

There are lots of other platforms to choose from

Another way of getting rid of slowly-selling items is by changing the platform. It is not the best idea to wait for your supplies to sell themselves on their own. If the process is staggered, try to put them on eBay or Facebook Marketplace. Some of the users may buy a massive part of your inventory or even the whole array of products if you are lucky. That may help you avoid cutting down the prices, even so, there is no guarantee that it will work. Thus it may be a reasonable decision to visit the liquidation sites. Liquidation sites are used for the same purpose, but the main idea is that you have to wait until the goods will get sold.

Summing up…

The client may return the product he/she is not satisfied with. The returns can be dealt with by the disposal or removal order options on Amazon, but you will have to pay for those. In case you are the one who is not happy with the product you have got, you must liquidate the goods to cut the losses.
